GREAT GREAT WEEKEND!

I finally got a chance to see all the main London attractions this weekend! I'm exhausted to say the very least...we saw a lot and walked even more! What a weekend! I'll start from the beginning...

On Friday, Tom came down to London on the train. We went to the new Avatar movie in 3D! It was fun to see a movie in 3D...I hadn't done that before. And being that Tom is a Film and TV major, it was "research" for him to go. :) It ended up being a great movie and I, surprisingly, liked it!

On Saturday, we decided to get up about 9am and get to Leichester Square (pronounced Lester) where they have cheap theater tickets. It was raining a little but we stood in a few lines trying to get cheaper tickets to Lion King, Grease, Wicked, or Mama Mia. We ended up (after standing in a few lines) getting tickets to LION KING! It was an amazing show! Worth ever pound we paid for the tickets! :) Before the show, we went to Harrods which is a world famous department store in London. The place was HUGE! They had food areas and all the big brands like Jimmy Choo, Valentino, Dolce & Gabana, etc. It was amazing!! Definitely an experience! After The Lion King was done, it was dark outside already so we walked down by Big Ben and Parliament near the South Bank. Big Ben looked amazing all lit up! After, we walked to get some supper and ended up having a great meal at a cozy little bar/restaurant. We walked back and fell asleep pretty quick!

We woke up this morning and got going again pretty early! We made our way to the Big Ben area again (wanted to see it in the daylight). We got a chance to see the changing of the horse guards. These are the guards that are on horses..obviously. Haha! After, we went to an English Pub for a late breakfast. We did some more walking and made our way to Buckingham Palace. It was a long day of walking and fighting crowds but it was a BEAUTIFUL day! The sun was shining and it was a little warmer than it has been lately. We grabbed a quick lunch and came back to my place before Tom left to go back home.

UFFDA! :) Now I'm updating the blog and getting ready for another week with my kids! Charles is planning to take me and the french teacher in our classroom to a few of his favorite sites sometime this week--that'll make an even busier week! But it'll be fun as well.

Hope you enjoy the update and the pictures!

GO VIKINGS!! I'm cheering them on all the way from London!
