Time for an Update!

Phew--it's been awhile since I've blogged! Been busy :)

The last weekend of my half-term break, Tom and I went down to Bournemouth--where is brother goes to school. Can you tell they are brothers??? Take a look at the picture below! Bournemouth is right on the coast in the south of England. It was rainy while we were there but was still a lot of fun! It's gorgeous on the coast and was fun to see other parts of the country!

After going to Bournemouth, it was off to London again. On Monday, it was a Teacher Workshop day and it was intersting to see how they ran it. I got a chance to go to 3 different workshops and learned a lot! Hopefully things that I can use the rest of the term and the in my own classroom some day.

Wednesday was my 22nd birthday...yikes! Haha! :) My kids sang to me and from Charles I got a bottle of New Zealand wine and chocolates...yum! :) Tom came down to London for the night and thank goodness he did or it would've been a lonely day! We went to the movie "Precious" and then for dinner at TGI Fridays! :) Hahaha!! I little piece of home I suppose. I had a balloon hat and balloons from them and they sang to me. One of the best parts of the night was when Tom gave me birthday wishes from about 30 people! He got all my camp friends, roommates, best friends and family to send me a quick message for my birthday. I cried when I read them all and thank you to everyone who sent me a message! It was the best birthday yet and was great to celebrate it in London! A little note to Tom since I know he reads my blog: Thank you again for such an amazing birthday! You are the sweetest guy ever and I'm so lucky to have you in my life :) I love you!

This weekend I'm up Northampton for a relaxing weekend. This is the first weekend since I've been here, that we've had no for sure plans! Today we went to Cambridge--a city about 50 miles away. It's known for it's amazing university and definitely is a college type town. Students everywhere! It was fun to see. Also, we found some great shoppig so that was fun too :) The exchange rate is much more in my favor so it makes shopping a bit easier for me ;)

I fell in love with another boy today....we went to an animal shelter on our way to Cambridge and I met Billy...a 9 month old yellow lab! I fell in LOVE with him! He was so adorable and it was hard to leave without him!! It was fun to see the animals but sad too! We've been itching for a dog lately so going to the shelter didn't help!

Well we're watching rugby and I suppose I better pay attention :) Hope the weather is getting nicer and the snow and cold is fading away!

I MISS YOU ALL!
