WHAT A DAY!

Wow..it has been QUITE a day. As many of you may have seen on my mom's facebook status, I got questioned by immigration for about 3 hours today.

We got in to London Heathrow on time and I went to the UK Border Agency to get my passport checked. I stood in line for awhile and finally got up to the desk. I explained my whole situation and all about student teaching. She questioned me for about 15 minutes and then took my passport and papers and told me to sit in the "composure area." I sat there for awhile...as Tom had already gone through border control and was patiently waiting for me. A guy came and told me that we had to go and get my bags so that they could search them and then interview me. I was pretty shaken up by now...and it didn't help that I was TIRED! As you may know, when Krystyna gets tired she gets very emotional....so tired + stress = a very emotional Krystyna! I was on the verge of tears by this point as he was looking through all my bags. After he checked everything, we went back upstairs where they took my fingerprints and my photo. I felt like a complete criminal!! It was horrible! I did a lot of waiting around and finally a border patrol man came to interview me. He asked me over 30 questions about why I was here and about Tom and everything! It was so weird! I was shaking the whole time...but thanks to a calm-down from Anna I wasn't crying so that was good. After the interview he had to talk to his boss about what to do with me. Again after MORE waiting around, I finally heard from the guy that he stamped my passport and was letting me into the UK as a visitor. It was a crazy, scary ordeal to be honest. I was scared I would get sent home....and didn't like feeling like a criminal!

After ALL of this I finally met Tom's family! I was still a little shook up but they welcomed me in with open arms. We're about to have a belated Christmas dinner so I better get going! More updates soon!

MISS AND LOVE YOU ALL!
